Designed specifically for the demanding requirements of Chip and Pin payments in the hospitality sector, the Paycell MPT 500 series of portable payment terminals provides a flexible platform for EPOS system integrators for credit card "pay at table" applications linking both the EPOS functionality and card payment process through one device.
By communicating to EPOS servers as well as card processing systems via a wide number of wireless technologies (WLAN 802.11b/Bluetooth/GPRS/GSM), the MPT 500 can be integrated easily into Dining and Hospitality environments. Combined with exceptional battery life and an integral fast thermal printer, the MPT 500 provides exceptional functionality in a small, light and ergonomically designed footprint.
Nigel Cullum, Head of Business Development at Thyron comments:
"For the Chip and PIN rollout, the Retail Hospitality environment has struggled to find the right card payment solution that meets the requirement for card acceptance at the table combined with integrated EPOS functions to ease the payment and bill settlement process. The Paycell MPT 500 provides a cost effective and suitably flexible platform for Hospitality EPOS system integrators to deliver the solutions their clients demand as the critical mass of Chip and PIN cards in circulation is reached during 2004."
