Disruption to Vodafone network services

We have been notified of a major outage on the Vodafone network which will cause disruption to services. During this busy period your patience is appreciated and we fully understand the urgency to resolve this asap.  We will endeavour to provide regular updates as we are notified.

Update at 11:10 - Further to the above, all the necessary parts have now been sourced and Vodafone engineers are now onsite replacing the missing equipment and are approximately halfway through doing so.  No ETA has been provided for resolution but the Vodafone engineers are working as quickly as they can to restore service.

Update at 13:40 - Voice and Data services should now be largely back up and running and it is expected to be back to full capacity later this afternoon.  There continues to be issues on both voice and data, specifically in the South West of England as a result of today’s events and these are been worked on as we speak.

Update at 16:04 - The problem should now be resolved.  We thank customers for their patience during this time.

Deliveries during adverse weather conditions

Some areas of Scotland, Newcastle, York and northern England are experiencing delays of up to three days, and deliveries to the rest of the UK may take up to two days longer than usual.  As of today DPD (www.dpd.co.uk) is unable to guarantee that parcels sent to Scotland, Newcastle and York will be delivered before Christmas. In addition DPD have a significant backlog of parcels in these depots still awaiting delivery. The recent bad weather has severely impacted parcel delivery services in Scotland and the North East, in addition DPD has unprecedented volumes of parcels being shipped. The two factors combined mean that these depots now have severe delivery backlogs.?  DPD are making every possible effort to deliver the backlog of parcels and they have made an industry leading effort to maintain a delivery service even into the worst affected areas.

We understand that this announcement will mean disappointment and inconvenience to our customers and we deeply regret that but we are convinced that a policy of openness and honesty regarding this matter is paramount.?  DPD delivery services to the rest of the country will continue, and collections from Scotland, Newcastle and York for delivery outside of these areas will continue.?
